Construction of the surgery center would be the third phase in the project, a multi-use facility that could provide services in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics and OB/GYN.
The vice president of East Valley Banner Medical Group described the facility as an after-hours care center, according to the report. Phase one of the project has a target completion date of the end of the second fiscal quarter of 2012.
