Patrick Campbell, a former nurse at North Platte (Neb.) Surgery Center, has been charged with stealing prescription medication from the facility, according to an April 28 report from Nebraska TV.
Mr. Campbell was charged in U.S. District Court with acquiring controlled substances by fraud. In April 2023, Mr. Campbell admitted to his employer that he stole propofol and fentanyl from the facility.
He was then fired from the facility after an investigation determined vials were missing from its stock, according to the report. Mr Campbell faces four years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
