Pinnacle Gastroenterology is expected to open a multi-physician gastroenterology practice in a building that housed the now-shuttered Arkansas Diagnostic Center of Little Rock, Arkansas Business reported April 21.

The new clinic is unaffiliated with the gastroenterologist who operated the Diagnostic Center of Little Rock, according to the report. The practice shuttered after the state medical board in August revoked the license of Alonzo Williams, MD, amid allegations of sexual harassment, fraud and improper prescription practices.

Pinnacle told the publication its focus will be on patient experience, and that it “anticipate[s] a shortened wait time for new patients to come in for care.”

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
