Massachusetts is the highest-paying state for nurse anesthetists, according to 2024 data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, published April 2. In the majority of states, CRNAs earn over $200,000 on average.

2. Washington: $276,110

3. Vermont: $272,180

4. Alaska: $268,970

5. New Jersey: $268,310
