Lenexa, Mo.-based Minimally Invasive Surgery Hospital has filed a lawsuit against Cigna, alleging the insurer failed to pay $1.34 million in claims, Kansas City Business Journal reported March 27. .
What happened?
- The lawsuit seeks compensation for care provided between March 2022 and March 2024. MISH claims Cigna either denied payment for several cases or said it had sent payments that were never received.
- MISH offers weight-loss surgery, pain management, spine surgery, cardiology and colonoscopy, among other services.
