Northwell opens $5.3M GI center

New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell Health has opened a $5.3 million digestive health center in Uniondale, N.Y., according to a March 20 report from Long Island Business News

The new center is a part of Northwell’s existing Digestive Health Center of Excellence, which currently totals 27,000 square feet. 

The digestive health center will also be located alongside Northwell Health Physician Partners’ Gastroenterology Associates and ASC the Long Island Center for Digestive Health. It will feature 18 exam rooms, two procedure rooms, and employ 10 physicians and 70 other workers. 

The center will offer general surgery, colorectal surgery, surgical oncology, bariatric surgery, programs for esophageal disease, pancreatic cysts and weight loss management, and infusion therapy for inflammatory bowel disease patients.
