Nine physicians from the New England Heart and Vascular Institute at Catholic Medical Center are branching out to establish Cardiovascular Specialists of New England, an independent practice, the New Hampshire Union Leader reported Feb. 29.
The physicians — five interventional cardiologists and four electrophysiologists — will remain credentialed at the hospital.
“The specialists that are creating this new practice are excited to be setting out on this path of independent practice, which we feel will best serve the community and the hospital,” James Flynn, MD, one of the physicians, told the publication. “We hope to maintain a healthy collaboration with Catholic Medical Center, and we recognize the outstanding care that the staff provides to our patients.”
Even after these departures, NEHVI will still have over 60 providers and full support staff, ensuring continued services for patients, according to the report.
On March 12, Cardiovascular Specialists of New England announced a partnership with Recora Parth to enhance access to innovative, virtual cardiac rehabilitation programs.
