Developer buys Arizona vacant medical office building

Real estate developer Meridian has purchased a vacant, 94,569-square-foot medical building in Tucson, Ariz.

The property will be fully occupied by El Rio Health, a federally qualified health center that has served patients in Tucson for 54 years, according to an Oct. 21 press release. 

The former inpatient cardiovascular hospital has been vacant for 15 years. Construction is estimated to begin later this month and will be completed in early 2026.
