Kentucky medical office building to move into vacated mall space

An empty shopping-center space in Middletown, Ky., has earned city council approval to be converted to a medical office building, according to a Sept. 9 report from the Journal-News.

The building was proposed by Oak Street Health, and is expected to provide primary care for Medicare-eligible older adults.

The facility will be renovated internally, according to the report. While some council members expressed concerns over the zoning change to allow the medical office building, the council still approved the change.
