LMH Health cuts ties with Aetna, Humana Medicare Advantage plans

Lawrence, Kan.-based LMH Health will stop accepting Aetna and Humana Medicare Advantage insurance plans Jan. 1, 2025, according to a Sept. 3 report from ABC affiliate KMBC.

The health system cited challenges with low reimbursement rates and high prior authorization denial rates from these insurers as key reasons for cutting ties, according to the report. 

LMH Health plans to host a seminar to help patients understand their Medicare and Medicaid coverage options moving forward.
