New ASC coming to expanding Alabama medical site

A new ASC is coming to Foley, Ala., near South Baldwin Regional Medical Center, which is launching a $250 million expansion project.

The Foley Planning Commission voted to recommend approval of the project, and the Foley City Council will issue final approval, according to an April 3 press release from the city. 

The ASC will be operated by Community Health Services, which operates South Baldwin Regional. 

Construction on the center will start later this year, according to the release.
