The closure of the physician-owned facility includes its emergency department and all hospital-related services, which will be relocated to the center’s Port Arthur campus.

“We found that the Beaumont campus was severely underutilized given the needs in the region,” a Steward spokesperson said in a statement shared with Becker’s Jan. 25. “TMCST remains committed to serving the needs of our community at the Port Arthur campus, including world-class stroke and trauma care, our neonatal intensive care and our orthopedic services, while supporting our staff and providers.”

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
