The most important factors for physicians choosing where to work

A flexible schedule is the most important factor for physicians when choosing a healthcare employer, according to a report on what physicians value at work published by healthcare talent firm Adfire Health.

The report surveyed 112 physicians across 30 specialty areas on the factors that matter most to them when seeking employment. 

Here are the five most important factors for physicians when choosing a healthcare employer: 

1. Flexible scheduling: 42%

2. Location: 35.7%

3. Diversity, equity and inclusion: 33.8%

4. Salary and pay rate: 29.9%

5. Professional growth and career opportunities: 25.9%
