Alternative career paths considered by residents included law, finance, dentistry, journalism, pharma, tech, engineering, cooking and carpentry.
Additionally, over half of residents (52%) have experienced feelings of depression as a resident. About 37% of residents feel depressed sometimes, while 11% feel depressed most of the time and 4% feel depressed all of the time.
About 21% reported rarely feeling depressed, and an additional 21% never feel depressed.
