The location is the health system’s second location on Long Island, the first being in Uniondale, according to an Aug. 31 news release from Hospital for Special Surgery. The newest location will offer sports medicine, foot and ankle surgery, hand surgery, pain management, physiatry, spinal care and orthopedic trauma services. The location will be staffed by the same physicians who see patients at the main hospital in New York City.
Patients in need of orthopedic surgery will be sent to the main location, according to the release.
