From Jan. 1, 2015, to Dec. 31, 2018, Dr. Bothra and his clinics, the Pain Center USA and Interventional Pain Center, billed Medicare and Medicaid for unnecessary urine drug tests, according to an Aug. 24 release from the U.S. Justice Department.
The defendants also allegedly billed for medically unnecessary moderate sedation services and back braces.
