Patient Safety Tool: CDC’s List of Certified Equipment

Under the authorization of the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act of 1977 and the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health providers an updated list of personal protective devices that have been certified for safe use for healthcare professionals.

By accessing the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website, healthcare providers can search for certified equipment by manufacturer, approval date and type of equipment.
