The patient was under anesthesia when the video was recorded and claimed it was filmed without her consent and left her emotionally scarred. Dr. Pinkney alleged the patient signed a form consenting to videos during the procedure.
A state court jury ruled that Dr. Pinkney bore no responsibility for the patient’s emotional trauma.
