Weill Cornell Medicine names Dr. Jonathan Weinsaft chief of cardiology division

Jonathan Weinsaft, MD, was appointed as chief of the Greenberg Division of Cardiology at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City.

Dr. Weinsaft will be responsible for growing research programs and improving patient care in the department, according to a June 14 news release from Weill Cornell Medicine. 

Dr. Weinsaft is succeeding Bruce Lerman, MD, who led the division since 1995.

The appointment is effective July 1, the release said.
