Here are the three splits ASCs need to know:

1. In February, Prescott, Ariz.-based Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center became out of network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona after the sides were unable to reach a new contract. The sides were at odds over reimbursements rates.

2. UnitedHealthcare’s Medicaid managed care plan has been out of network with Philadelphia-based Temple Health since Feb. 1, after the two sides were unable to reach a new contract.

3. In January, Memphis, Tenn.-based Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare became out of network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee after the sides were unable to reach a new agreement by Dec. 31.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
