AnesthesiaCare Names New Executive Vice President

AnesthesiaCare, based in Dallas, has named Michael R. Williams, MD, as executive vice president, according to an AnesthesiaCare release.

Dr. Williams is a hospital CEO and healthcare professional with more than 20 years of clinical and management experience. He has held senior management positions with medical device and billing companies and also founded and ran two Texas-based anesthesia groups. He will continue in his role as CEO of Hill County Memorial Health Systems in Fredericksburg, Texas, a position he has held since 2008.

Dr. Williams is board-certified in anesthesiology and completed his residency training at U.T. Southwestern Medical School/Parkland Hospital in Dallas. He also completed a cardiovascular anesthesiology and critical care fellowship at Texas Heart Institute in Houston, and he holds an MBA from Duke University in Durham, N.C.
