Physician Partners adds Jim Harris to board of directors

Physician Partners, a primary care physician group in Tampa, Fla., has appointed Jim Harris, an entrepreneur and CEO and managing partner of Archipelago Companies, to its board of directors.

Mr. Harris first worked as a private equity investor at Kohlberg & Co. and Trivest, according to a May 23 press release. He formerly held the position of president and partner of Huneeus Vintners, a luxury wine holding company based in Rutherford, Calif., and CEO of Scharffen Berger Chocolate Maker.

He has gained advising and investing experience through serving as growth investor and member of many businesses’ boards of directors. 

Mr. Harris earned a Bachelor of Science with concentrations in finance and management from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and a certificate in international finance from University of Oxford in England.
