GOJO invented PURELL Instant Hand Sanitizer for use in the foodservice and healthcare industries. The product was also introduced into the consumer market in 1997. GOJO sold PURELL to Warner-Lambert Company in 2004. Johnson & Johnson acquired the brand after the company’s acquisition of Pfizer Consumer Healthcare, a Warner-Lambert subsidiary.
GOJO plans on introducing new hand sanitizer innovations, including formulas with advanced germ-killing efficacy and the first green-certified hand sanitizer.
