The collaboration with CVMS Digestive Health Center, a five-physician practice in Waterloo, Iowa, will start with coverage for UnityPoint Clinic Gastroenterology, including program development and advanced practice practitioner oversight and support.
The organizations will develop virtual support and consultation and plan to recruit a full-time gastroenterologist to provide care in Fort Dodge. UnityPoint Clinic Gastroenterology currently has two advanced registered nurse practitioners.
UnityPoint Health secured interim onsite coverage with oversight from CVMS physicians, according to the report.
