Maine GI practice adds 5th physician to meet growing demand

Pearl Princess Uy, MD, is the latest gastroenterologist to join Northern Light Gastroenterology in Bangor, Maine, according to Bangor Daily News.

The practice, which operates out of Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, has four other physicians: Amit Agrawal, MD, Daniel Cassidy, MD, Janese Laster, MD, and Jean Larson, MD.

Dr. Uy’s clinical interests include treatment of esophageal diseases, Barrett’s esophagus, radiofrequency ablation and colorectal cancer screening.

She completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington and a gastroenterology fellowship at Augusta (Ga.) University this year.
