Virginia hospital opens renovated surgery center

Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Va., held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its renovated surgery center, NBC affiliate WCYB reported July 8.

The renovation added 4,000 square feet to the Johnston Memorial Hospital Surgery Center. The center’s opening was delayed due to the pandemic.

The surgery center sees about 400 patients monthly.
