The bundled costs include facility fees as well as physician and anesthesia costs. Southern Surgical hopes to attract medical tourists with their bundled rates. The center also has arrangements with select banks and lenders to help patients pay for surgery.

The bundled rates are published on Southern Surgical’s website, including $6,500 for inguinal hernia repair; $12,000 for sleeve gastrectomy; and $7,500 for gallbladder surgery.

The ASC focuses on general surgery and bariatrics. In addition to the surgical procedures, the center focuses on wellness and has a store for patients to purchase high protein, low carb meals and snacks.
