Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin relocates surgery center as part of $53M investment — 5 details

Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin’s West Bend (Wis.) Surgery Center is relocating from the West Bend Health Center campus, which is undergoing reconstruction, Washington County Insider reports.

Five details:

1. On Sept. 3, West Bend Surgery Center will open at a new location on the St. Joseph’s Hospital campus in Polk, Wis.

2. The existing center treated its final patient on Aug. 16.

3. The new 17,000-square-foot West Bend Surgery Center is freestanding but physically attached to St. Joseph’s Health Center.

4. It features three operating rooms, as well as two procedure suites for ENT, gastrointestinal, general, gynecologic, orthopedic, plastic and podiatry procedures.

5. Milwaukee-based Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin invested $53 million in the West Bend Surgery Center and the West Bend Health Center development projects.
