Physicians Endoscopy and Peninsula Regional Health System entered into a joint venture to open Delmarva Endoscopy Center in Ocean Pines, Md.

What you should know:

1. The Jamison, Pa.-based management company and Salisbury, Md.-based health system recently opened the center, which saw its first patient July 16.

2. The center includes two endoscopy rooms.

3. Jerry Canakis, MD, is the center’s physician leader. He’ll be joined by Dan Daniels, MD, and Pushpjeet Kanwar, MD.

4. The endoscopy center is part of the Ocean Pines Health Pavilion, which Peninsula Regional operates. Four buildings make up the 11,000-square-foot pavilion. The endoscopy center itself is 6,000 square feet.
