Blessing is seeking permission to build a standalone surgery center near its main campus. Blessing currently operates a surgery center in a building owned by Quincy Medical Group. QMG is building a new surgery center in Quincy, which Blessing objected to several times.

Blessing said it would hold a series of public hearings before the review board’s meeting.

Note: This article was updated on Aug. 8 to remove a statement concerning whether Blessing would renew its current lease. There has been no communication between Blessing and QMG regarding the lease.
