Four quick notes:
1. Anesthesiologist Lauren Sylvester, MD, joined FirstHealth Back & Neck Pain to treat patients with chronic pain as part of FirstHealth’s team of physicians, physician assistants and one nurse practitioner.
2. FirstHealth Chief Medical Officer John Krahnert Jr., MD, said the addition will help grow the practice’s reputation as a leader in eliminating or reducing chronic pain.
3. Dr. Sylvester graduated from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, completed a residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, and underwent fellowship training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
4. Brian Thwaites, MD, founded FirstHealth Back & Neck Pain in 1996. It has locations in Pinehurst, Sanford, Raeford, Troy and Asheboro, all in North Carolina.
