Four insights:
1. Dr. Madreperla, a practicing ophthalmologist and founding partner of specialty practice NJRetina, launched PVG with NJRetina physicians and several regional ophthalmologists.
2. PVG aims to build a network of professional independent eye care practices “that align culturally and economically with our goal of building and strengthening the practice environment,” the entity said in a press release.
3. PVG provides IT integration, practice administration, contract negotiation, revenue cycle, human resource and compliance services.
4. The group currently serves 51 providers and 350 employees at 26 ophthalmology locations throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Affiliates include:
- NJRetina (Union, N.J.)
- Matossian Eye Associates (Doylestown, Pa.)
- Hudson Eye Physicians & Surgeons (Jersey City, N.J)
- Ridgewood Eye Associates (Paramus, N.J.)
- Hackensack (N.J.) Eye Center
