CMS Seeks Comments on Value-Based Purchasing Program for Surgery Centers

CMS is hosting an open forum teleconference on and seeking comments about a future ASC value-based purchasing program.

Such a program is required by the Accountable Care Act.

 

CMS is seeking input on a number of topics including:

  • development of measures of quality and efficiency;
  • reporting, collection and validation of quality data;
  • structure of value-based payment adjustments;
  • methods for public disclosure of the information; and
  • any other issues of interest to the public on this topic.

 

The forum will take place Oct. 14 from 3:30-5:00 p.m. EST.
