Tennova Healthcare’s plans for outpatient expansion come to fruition

Knoxville, Tenn.-based Tennova Healthcare opened an ASC in early June, nearly a year after cutting certain services at Lakeway Regional Hospital.

The ASC opened on Tennova’s North Knoxville Medical Center campus in Powell, Tenn. It was built with six operating suites, as Becker’s ASC Review previously reported.

In June 2018, Tennova Healthcare discontinued intensive care and some inpatient services at Morristown, Tenn.-based Lakeway Regional Hospital. At the same time, the organization revealed plans to develop outpatient centers in the Knoxville area.
