Missouri hospital gets creative with financing to finish surgery center

Rubber ducks and cardboard boats will help finance Texas County Memorial Hospital’s new surgery center, according to Ozark Radio News.

Proceeds from the Houston, Mo.-based hospital’s third annual Pirates of the Piney Cardboard Regatta on June 15 will go to the Texas County Memorial Hospital Healthcare Foundation, benefiting the completion of the TCMH Surgery Center.

Teams can register to participate in the boat race for $50. Attendees can also participate in a rubber duck race by purchasing one for $5.
