Three key performance indicators to know:
1. Staffing per 1,000 cases. This benchmark helps ASCs optimize staffing. The gold standard is 1.5 full-time equivalents per 1,000 cases.
2. Days outstanding. Ideally, accounts receivable days outstanding should be less than 30 days.
3. A/R over 90 days. Track aging A/R to find issues with collections and/or denials. Less than 20 percent of A/R should be over 90 days.
