GI leader to know: Dr. Brett Bernstein of the Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center

 
Brett Bernstein, MD, is the chief of gastroenterology at New York City-based Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center.

In his role, Dr. Bernstein is responsible for gastroenterology operations and programs across five hospitals and four ASCs. Additionally, through his role as director of endoscopy at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, he oversees the quality of over 75,000 endoscopy procedures.

Dr. Bernstein also serves as a clinical professor of medicine. His clinical practice includes treating gastroesophageal reflux disease and performing colon cancer screenings.

Dr. Bernstein earned his medical degree at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and completed his gastroenterology fellowship at Beth Israel Medical Center.
