1. Ophthalmologists earn on average $366,000.
2. Fifty-three percent of ophthalmologists think they’re fairly compensated.
3. Of all the physicians surveyed, ophthalmologists were the most likely to choose the same specialty again at 96 percent.
4. Forty-four percent of ophthalmologists work in an office-based single-specialty group practice.
