Carle health system moves oral surgery department to outpatient clinic

The Urbana, Ill.-based Carle health system moved its oral surgery unit to a new outpatient clinic, according to the News Gazette.

Physicians at the new Champaign, Ill.-based clinic will offer maxillofacial and oral surgery at first, and other specialties such as ophthalmology and general surgery will be added later.

Caleb Miller, senior vice president of surgical services, said the purpose of moving the departments is to improve accessibility for patients.

Physicians will begin seeing patients next week.
