1. The Hawaiian Eye Foundation’s Cataract Days program provides charitable care to Hawaiian residents in need of eye care.
2. Aloha Laser Vision performed the surgeries at Honolulu-based Surgical Suites. Alan Faulkner, MD, performed the surgeries with the support of anesthesiologist Adrienne Ma, MD.
3. The Atherton Family Foundation agreed in 2017 to sponsor the program for five years.
4. Hawaiian Eye Foundation Executive Director Darrah Kauhane said, “This program is about giving back to the people of Hawaii. It is my honor to serve our kupuna and extended ohana through the islands.”
