Hospital acquires Cumberland Gastroenterology — 4 insights

Somerset, Ky.-based Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital acquired Cumberland Gastroenterology in Somerset, the Commonwealth Journal reports.

What you should know:

1. The hospital will rename the practice Gastroenterology Associates of Lake Cumberland.

2. The practice will retain all its providers and stay at its current location.

3. GALC will join the hospital’s standalone offerings. In addition to gastroenterology, the hospital has standalone bariatric, oncology, imaging, surgery and therapy services.

4. LCRH CEO Robert Parker said, “Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is thrilled to partner with such a high-quality practice as that developed by [Cumberland Gastroenterology]. We are very excited to continue the service they have provided over the years and build upon an already terrific foundation.”
