Centura Health to develop ASC, hospital — 4 insights

Centennial, Colo.-based Centura Health acquired 57.81 acres in Colorado Springs, Colo., for $30 million. Centura Health plans to build several facilities on the land, the Colorado Real Estate Journal reports.

What you should know:

1. The health system plans to expand its Colorado Springs presence with a 50-bed acute care hospital and an ASC. The complex will also include a rehabilitation facility and at least one medical office building.

2. The campus will have an orthopedic focus but will offer primary and specialty services as well.

3. Centura expects to open the campus in late 2022.

4. A Centura spokeswoman told the Real Estate Journal, “Our extensive community studies and projections indicate that this area represents both an existing need and significant future growth.”
