Here’s what you should know:
1. Ten Mile Holdings, Vail, Colo.-based Vail-Summit Orthopaedics, Vail-based The Steadman Clinic, Vail Health and Vail-based Howard Head Sports Medicine partnered to propose the development. They aim to capture patients going to other areas for medical services.
2. The Dillon Town Council voted to approve the construction of a 100,000-square-foot medical office and clinic building, as well as a parking structure.
3. The first phase of construction would include a 21,400-square-foot orthopedic surgery center, an urgent care center, 72-hour recovery rooms, orthopedic and physical therapy clinics, and imaging, sterile processing and pharmacy services, according to the development plan.
4. Phase two would add 25,000 square feet for clinic space, operating rooms and support space.
5. A second reading and public hearing on the proposal is scheduled for Jan. 15, 2019. No construction timeline has been set.
