Physician Partners of America opens pain relief group, ASC in the works — 3 details

Tampa, Fla.-based Physician Partners of America opened a pain relief group at its new Merritt Island (Fla.) Medical Pavilion, Space Coast Daily reports.

Here’s what you should know:

1. Pain management specialist Jorge Fernandez-Silva, MD, heads the Merritt Island pain practice.

2. The pain relief group expects to treat many patients from out of state.

“We are one of the few medical companies that accept patients with valid out-of-state ID,” Dr. Fernandez-Silva told Space Coast Daily.

3. Merritt Island Medical Pavilion houses multiple specialties in 6,872 square feet. It will expand to include 7,318 square feet of medical office space; a 9,824-square-foot ASC with two operating rooms and one procedure suite; a catherization lab; and pharmacy, laboratory and imaging services.
