Foxhall Ambulatory Surgery Center hosts adult education students — 5 insights

Seventeen Ulster BOCES adult education students attended class twice a week at Kingston, N.Y.-based Foxhall Ambulatory Surgery Center, the Times Herald-Record reports.

Here’s what you should know:

1. The students took practical and experimental classes at the ASC for six weeks

2. The students are part of the school’s surgical technology program.

3. It was the first group of students to have an onsite class at the ASC.

4. Student Stephanie Christensen said, ” As a student, this [ASC] is invaluable. It has given me the chance to have the full hands-on experience, visualization and the environment of a true operating room, while allowing me to apply the knowledge I have received from our lectures in class.”

5. After passing the class, the students can begin their clinicals.
