Michael Babineaux, MD, died at the scene, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Dr. Babineaux’s car was struck by a 2007 Nissan Titan driven by Cameron O’Connell as he moved into the center lane to pass a vehicle in front of him.
Mr. O’Connell was taken to an area hospital with injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
