OrthoNY’s new ASC coming soon, expected to make $5.88M its 1st year: 5 insights

Albany, N.Y.-based OrthoNY expects to finish building its $5.3 million surgery center in Clifton Park, N.Y., by the end of November, according to Albany Business Review.

Here’s what you should know:

1. Surgeons at OrthoNY Surgical Suites will perform an estimated 3,162 surgeries in the first year and 3,320 by the center’s third year being open.

2. The four-room ASC is expected to make an estimated $5.88 million in annual revenue the first year, increasing to $6.17 million by the third year.

3. It will be owned by orthopedic surgeons from OrthoNY, the ninth largest physician group in the Albany area.

4. The facility is expected to open in January.

5. OrthoNY leases space at Ellis Medicine’s medical center in Clifton Park and has offices in Albany, Schenectady and Saratoga Springs, all in New York. The physician group is also helping to construct an $8.4 million joint venture ASC in Colonie, N.Y.
