Dr. Dean Sloan offers outpatient breast cancer procedure at Stockton Surgery Center

Dean Sloan, MD, is using Savi Scout Wire-Free Breast Localization technology in outpatient breast lumpectomies at the Stockton (Calif.) Surgery Center, the Manteca Bulletin reported.

1. Savi Scout Wire-Free Breast Localization technology works by implanting a reflector into the tumor, which allows surgeons to locate the area before excision.

2. The technology is useful for treating tumors surgeons can’t feel with their hands.
