The ASC had voluntarily stopped admitting patients late July after a state inspection discovered a number of safety infractions, including malfunctioning equipment, improper staff emergency training, staffing shortages and surgeon’s expired privileges, according to the report.

The ASC submitted a plan of corrective action to address the infractions to the State Agency for Health Care Administration, which was approved and resulted in AHCA lifting the moratorium.
