The report discusses some of the benefits of receiving care at surgery centers and then highlights the success of MPSC, including its meeting or exceeding all Medicare standards during a March unannounced three-day Medicare certification survey and its 98 patient recommendation rating.

MPSC is a joint venture with Community Hospital of Monterey Peninsula and has three facilities with nearly 60 physician owners, according to the report.
